Sport Skills Program

Our Sport Skills Programs are a fantastic opportunity to try a new sport or develop additional skills in a sport in a non-competitive environment. The focus is on having fun and getting involved and each program has pathways for you to get more involved in the sport by joining a club or association.

Some of the Sport Skills Programs we offer are:

  • Golf
  • Surf League
  • Australian Football (AFL)

For more information about these and other Sport Skills Programs speak to you Head of Sport or click HERE

Year 7 Sports Expo

The Year 7 Sports Expo is held in Term 4 each year and is a fantastic opportunity for Year 7 students to try their hand at a wide range of sports. Sports Development Officers from up to 20 different sports associations take you through 40 minute sessions teaching you some basic skills in a selection of the sports.

The Year 7 Sports Expo showcases a wide range of sports, some of which are already part of the GSV program but many are not, including Calisthenics, Croquet, Fencing, Inline Hockey, Lawn Bowls, Synchronized Swimming, Table Tennis and Yoga.

Speak with your Head of Sport to find out how your school can get involved in the Year 7 Sports Expo.

Have a great year of Sport and we look forward seeing you at one of the many GSV sporting events on our 2009 calendar.

Feel free to email Leonie Mawkes with any suggestions or comments on our sports program or our website.
